The New York Jets could be without Breece Hall for their Week 4 matchup against the Chicago Bears after the running back suffered a quad injury.
Hall sustained the injury during New York's loss to the Detroit Lions and is currently considered week-to-week. The injury is not believed to be as serious as initially feared, but it could keep him out of the upcoming game.
A major blow to the rushing attack
Hall is a key part of the Jets' offense. Through the first three weeks of the season, he has recorded 163 rushing yards and 102 receiving yards, along with one rushing touchdown.
His potential absence would be particularly challenging for New York because the Jets' rushing attack has struggled early in the season.
Braelon Allen could see a bigger role
If Hall is unable to play against Chicago, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis would be expected to take on larger roles in the backfield.
The Jets also need to improve protection for Geno Smith, who has been sacked nine times through the first three games. Hall's status will be one of the main storylines to monitor as New York prepares for Week 4.
