The Baltimore Ravens will be without Trey Hendrickson for their Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans after the edge rusher underwent a procedure to repair a fractured finger.
Hendrickson suffered the injury during the season opener against Indianapolis and played the following two games while protecting the injured hand.
Ravens expect a short-term absence
Head coach Jesse Minter said the procedure was performed to address the problem and protect Hendrickson's long-term health. Baltimore expects the absence to be short term.
Hendrickson has recorded one sack and three quarterback hits through his first three games with Baltimore.
Mike Green gets a bigger opportunity
Hendrickson's absence gives Mike Green an opportunity to take on a larger role against Tennessee. The second-year linebacker has recorded five tackles and one sack during the opening three weeks.
The Ravens could also turn to undrafted rookie Ethan Burke, who impressed during the preseason, to provide additional depth in the pass-rush rotation.
Baltimore enters the matchup with a 2-1 record and will look to avoid another home loss after dropping four consecutive regular-season games at its stadium.
