Zay Flowers delivered a spectacular performance to open the 2026 season with the Baltimore Ravens, but his day ended early after he suffered a hamstring injury against the Indianapolis Colts.
The wide receiver caught five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in the first half before leaving the game with the injury. Flowers had already appeared on Baltimore's injury report during the week because of a hamstring issue.
A dominant first half
Flowers immediately became one of Baltimore's biggest offensive weapons. A 49-yard reception helped set up a Ravens touchdown, and he later scored on a 54-yard catch-and-run after lining up in the backfield.
He finished the first half with five catches for 150 yards and a touchdown, but did not return after leaving the field with the hamstring problem.
Baltimore faces another injury concern
Flowers had only recently returned to practice after missing multiple sessions because of his hamstring injury. He had been upgraded to full participation before Sunday's game against Indianapolis.
The latest setback could force Baltimore to adjust its receiver rotation heading into the Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Ravens lost other players as well
Rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane also left the game with a wrist injury, while cornerback T.J. Tampa exited during the first quarter because of a knee injury.
Baltimore still secured a 41-23 victory over Indianapolis, but the team will now await further medical evaluations to determine the severity of the injuries suffered during the opener.
