Sam Darnold evita una fractura, pero se someterá a una resonancia tras lesión de cadera

Sam Darnold Avoids Fracture but Will Undergo MRI After Hip Injury

The Seattle Seahawks received encouraging initial news regarding Sam Darnold after the quarterback left the season opener against the New England Patriots with a right hip injury.

Initial Tests Rule Out a Fracture

Darnold underwent X-rays and a CT scan after leaving the game. The initial tests showed no fracture, which Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald described as encouraging news.

Darnold suffered the injury after taking a sack during Seattle's opening offensive series. He was able to walk off the field but was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Drew Lock Stepped In

Drew Lock took over at quarterback and helped Seattle overcome a 10-0 deficit. He completed 16 of 22 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks rallied for a 13-10 victory.

The MRI Will Provide More Answers

Although the initial tests ruled out a fracture, Darnold still needs additional evaluation. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of the injury.

Seattle does not play again until September 20 against the Arizona Cardinals, giving Darnold some additional recovery time depending on the MRI results.
