The Los Angeles Rams could once again be without Puka Nacua in Week 3 after the wide receiver was listed as doubtful for Sunday's matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Nacua did not practice on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday because of groin soreness. He already missed the Rams' Week 2 game.
McVay expects Nacua to miss the game
Head coach Sean McVay indicated that the doubtful designation means Nacua is more likely not to play than to be available against Denver.
The injury was initially listed as a hip issue, but McVay later clarified that Nacua is dealing with groin soreness.
Rams hope for a quick return
The positive news for Los Angeles is that the team expects Nacua to be ready next week if there is no setback in his recovery.
His absence would be a significant blow to a Rams offense that relies heavily on his production in the passing game, especially for a Sunday Night Football matchup against Denver.
