The Buffalo Bills will enter their matchup against the Los Angeles Rams with several important absences. Head coach Joe Brady confirmed that Ed Oliver and Joshua Palmer have been ruled out for Monday Night Football on October 12.
Oliver did not practice during the week because of a knee injury suffered in the loss to the New England Patriots. Palmer injured his shoulder during practice and will also miss the game.
Ed Oliver faces another absence
Oliver's absence creates a challenge for Buffalo's defensive line. The defensive tackle has recorded nine tackles, one fumble recovery and half a sack this season.
This will be his second absence of the year. Oliver also missed Buffalo's Week 2 game against Detroit with a hip injury, forcing the Bills to find alternative options to strengthen the interior of their defensive line once again.
DJ Moore remains questionable
The situation also creates uncertainty in the passing game. DJ Moore is listed as questionable with a recurring left shoulder injury that worsened during the game against New England.
Moore has recorded 12 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown since the start of the season. If he cannot play, Buffalo would lose another important option for quarterback Josh Allen.
The Bills have also ruled out Palmer, who recorded three receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie Skyler Bell is expected to make his regular-season debut as Buffalo prepares the necessary adjustments for the Rams.
