The Baltimore Ravens are facing a major offensive line problem after losing Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic to injuries during their victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Head coach Jesse Minter indicated that neither center is expected to return quickly, forcing Baltimore to find solutions ahead of its Week 4 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Vega Ioane takes over at center
Gwyn suffered an ankle injury during the second half of the game in Brazil and was forced to leave. Pocic replaced him but later exited with a knee injury.
Rookie Vega Ioane, who opened the season as the starting right guard, finished the game at center and is now expected to continue working at the position.
Baltimore may need to add another player
The situation leaves the Ravens with an immediate need at a position that has already undergone several changes this season. Danny Pinter previously suffered a knee injury that ended his season.
Baltimore could add another player to strengthen the position, but for now the plan is for Ioane to prepare at center while the team evaluates its available options.
