The Washington Commanders received encouraging news regarding Jayden Daniels. The quarterback will travel with the team to London and participate in practice as Washington prepares to face the Indianapolis Colts.
Daniels is still recovering from the elbow dislocation he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. Washington has not established a definitive timetable for his return to game action.
Daniels returns to practice
Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed that Daniels, Frankie Luvu and Chig Okonkwo will travel to London and participate in practice in some capacity during the week.
The development represents progress for Daniels after he missed the Week 3 matchup against Seattle. Marcus Mariota started that game at quarterback.
Washington remains cautious
Although Daniels' return to practice is encouraging, it does not mean he is expected to play against Indianapolis.
The Commanders are continuing to follow the medical process before determining when Daniels can return to an official game. Washington enters the trip to London after earning a 33-31 victory over the Seahawks.
