Cowboys prueban a cinco defensivos ante las múltiples lesiones en su secundaria

Cowboys Work Out Five Defensive Players Amid Secondary Injuries

The Dallas Cowboys have begun looking for defensive reinforcements after injuries created significant depth concerns, particularly in the secondary. The team worked out five defensive players.

The group included defensive backs Juanyeh Thomas, Alex Austin, Shemar Bartholomew and Tyrek Funderburk, along with linebacker Germaine Pratt.

Juanyeh Thomas is a familiar face

Thomas is already familiar with the Cowboys. He originally joined Dallas as an undrafted free agent from Georgia Tech in 2022 and played 36 games for the organization from 2023 through 2025, including four starts.

His previous experience with the team could make him an attractive option as Dallas looks to address its defensive depth issues.

Dallas needs help in the secondary

The Cowboys have dealt with several defensive injuries during the opening weeks of the season. Jalen Thompson, Shavon Revel Jr. and Jonathan Bullard all left the game against Baltimore with injuries, while Dallas was already missing other defensive players.

The team is continuing to evaluate its options as it looks to add depth and stabilize the defense for the remainder of the season.
