Vikings shock Bears with late comeback

The Minnesota Vikings staged one of the most exciting comebacks of Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season, defeating the Chicago Bears 27-24 at U.S. Bank Stadium thanks to an electrifying finish in the fourth quarter.

Chicago dominated much of the game, with a solid defense and a ground attack that wore down the Vikings' defensive line. However, in the final 10 minutes, Minnesota showed character and took advantage of the Bears' mistakes to turn the score around.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins was decisive, throwing for 285 yards and two touchdowns, including the decisive pass to Justin Jefferson, who finished with nine receptions and 124 yards.

For the Bears, Justin Fields got off to a promising start, but his offense sputtered in key moments, managing only one field goal in the second half.

With this win, the Vikings kick off the season with confidence, proving they can be contenders in the NFC North, while the Bears will have to work on their ability to close out games.
