The Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings made a significant move ahead of the 2025 season. Veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen is returning to the franchise where he began his NFL career after the two teams agreed to a trade involving multiple draft picks.
According to the official report, the Panthers sent Thielen, along with a conditional seventh-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2027, in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2026 and a fourth-round pick in 2027 from the Vikings.
This move not only represents Thielen's return to Minnesota, where he established himself as an offensive figure and fixture in the locker room, but also strengthens the Vikings' passing offense, which recently overhauled its quarterback roster with the addition of Carson Wentz to back up J.J. McCarthy.
For Carolina, the decision reflects a long-term focus on rebuilding, accumulating draft capital that could be key to developing its young roster.
Thielen's return promises to be one of the big draws for Vikings fans next season.
