After several weeks of uncertainty for NFL fans in Mexico, Fox Sports has officially announced the recovery of the league's broadcasting rights in the country. This return marks a relief for American football fans, who will once again be able to enjoy the excitement of the games on the channels of the renowned sports network.
Official announcement and reactions
The announcement was made on Tuesday, December 24 through Fox Sports Mexico's social networks, generating enthusiasm among fans. However, the return of programming was not exempt from sarcastic comments from the audience. Messages such as "Have you already paid the 14 weeks in arrears?" or "What did you pawn?" flooded the official publication, reflecting the feelings of subscribers after weeks without access to the games.

English:Date: Thursday, December 26
Time: 7:15 p.m. (Central Mexico)
Broadcast: Fox Sports and Fox Sports Premium
In its post, Fox Sports invited fans to follow the game and participate in the conversation, posing the question:
"Will Caleb Williams be able to lead Chicago to victory or will the Seahawks take control?"
Why did Fox Sports lose the rights?
On December 12, Fox Sports had announced that it would not broadcast the 2024-2025 NFL season due to a contractual issue. NFL Media confirmed that the rights contract had expired without reaching a new agreement, leading to the suspension of broadcasts in Mexico.
During this period, NFL Media promoted the use of its NFL Game Pass streaming platform, accessible through DAZN, as an alternative for fans in Mexico. However, this option entailed additional costs, which limited its reach among fans.
