Amon-Ra St. Brown signs multi-million dollar extension with the Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have secured the future of star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown with a four-year contract extension worth $120 million. The deal makes St. Brown the highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

St. Brown is coming off an explosive 2023 season in which he racked up 119 receptions for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns. His performance made him a key piece in the Lions' offense and positioned him as one of the most promising young receivers in the league.

"Amon-Ra is a special player and we are excited to have him as part of our Lions family for many years to come." "He's a tireless worker, a leader on and off the field, and a player who makes plays that help us win. This extension is a reflection of his commitment to the team and his potential to be one of the best receivers in the NFL."

St. Brown's new contract includes a $30 million signing bonus, which guarantees him $60 million over the first two years of the deal. It also includes clauses that could increase the total value of the contract to $140 million.

With this extension, the Lions are assured of having one of the best receiver trios in the league, along with St. Brown, Allen Robinson and Jameson Williams. The team hopes this group of receivers will help lead the Lions to the postseason for the first time since 2016.
