Good news for the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of the start of the 2025 regular season. Team general manager Joe Hortiz confirmed that running back Najee Harris is in good physical condition and all indications are he'll be available for the first game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harris, who joined the Chargers as a key player to bolster their ground offense, had raised concerns about physical discomfort during training camp. However, Hortiz himself dispelled any concerns by stating that the player is progressing well and that his availability is not expected to be compromised for Week 1.
Harris's presence is vital to the Chargers' offensive scheme, especially considering the need to balance the passing attack with a solid ground game that takes pressure off the quarterback. Furthermore, his official debut in a Los Angeles uniform has generated great expectations among the fans.
The first challenge will be none other than the reigning champion Chiefs, in a divisional duel that promises to be one of the most exciting of the season's start.
